Welcome to New DMs! - Dragonstar - July 7, 2007

Sojourney would like to congratulate its three newest DMs: Flmngo, Samiam and Olias Stormcrow.

Olias has DM'd in the past on other worlds and will be easing himself into Sojourney over the next several weeks once he gets past a class or two that he is taking.

Samiam is DM-in-training, so be patient with her as she hits the "kill" button instead of the "heal" button, spawns in by mistake 16 lich lords on your 1st level character, forgets that she has just typed 44 paragraphs in the DM Channel instead of the Talk Channel, and other common "noob" mistakes that some of us still do to this day.

Flmngo also has DM experience on other worlds and will add her own unique flavor to your experiences in the Bloodstone Lands.

Congratulations to Aeyroch, Samiam, Shieox, Grande and Joesy for their winning contributions to the 2007 Sojourney Calendar! You can see which shots were selected at 2007 Calendar Winners

For each screenshot selected, the winners received 5% of the total experience points held by the winner's favorite character.

We would like to thank everybody who took the time to post the screenshots. As you can see, we had over 190 entries, and they ranged from "merely" great to the incredible!

The calendars will be available through the Sojourney Store very soon. Great job to everybody who participated, and extra kudos to Joesy for suggesting the idea!

A Pragmatic Dragon's Thoughts With a Cup of Coffee - Dragonstar - August 14, 2006

As I sit here on the cliff edge outside of my lair, basking in the cool morning sunlight, sipping at a helmet filled with that marvelous brew called coffee which, by the way, is found only in Maztica. The coffee that is, not the helmet. Helmets you can pretty much find anywhere, usually with a knight inside of them. *sips* Hmmmm, now that I think on it further, knights are kinda like crabs. You have to shell 'em before you can eat 'em. *sips*

Ah, well, where was I? Oh, yes. Hah! Be patient with me. Sometimes even an Ancient's mind begins to wander.... I was just thinking back over the last couple of months on The Bloodstone Lands. Building continues apace at Elgyth's usual brisk pace. MacGuiness continues to tweak the database and scripts in ways that I truly wish we had had access to two years ago with the Silver Marches and Undermountain. Killian has been contributing heavily with all kinds of custom-made drinks and food stuffs, along with some other fun things that I will leave you all to discover on your own. *winks*

The open house held several weeks ago went very, very well with decent attendance and the permanent arrival of a couple of new players who seem to have found a home in BSL.

*sighs* I hear goblins scrabbling around at the tunnel that I set up specifically to capture lunch. I suppose I need to go turn the barbeque. More later, my friends.

A Word from the Hammer - Elgyth - February 1, 2006

I believe that Sojourney and the people assembled here are here because we consider each other friends. We all have a common goal, and it's great that I've been able to work with each of you on this project. From old to new, I can see us having great times ahead.

So I want to approach NWN2 and the Bloodstone Lands in a way that everyone feels like it is their project. It is all of ours. We are going to be under one banner, with one server, and I'm honored to have so many people working right next to me on this.

I hope you all enjoy Sojourney as much as I do. We will make NWN2 that much greater. I can't wait.
