The Sojourney servers provide an enriching experience to those tried and true RP gamers who cannot find a server to best suit their role-playing capabilities. The builders have created a world where immersion into one's character is paramount. They have done this by creating realistic environs and fully-fleshed NPCs to allow even a solo player to feel that they are living and breathing the Realms.

As a small server, Sojourney allows multiple "runaround" characters to better match up levels and needs of players so that no one has to explore the wilderness of the Bloodstone Lands alone. However, characters dedicated to specific DM campaigns are restricted to those campaigns until such time as the campaign is completed or the DM otherwise releases the characters.

A new innovation to Sojourney is the use of a world map to travel by. This should lead our players easily into the Neverwinter Nights 2 World Map concept. There is the possibility of dropping out of travel mode to deal with monsters and other travel hazards. This eliminates the wearying trudge through area after area just to travel to another city.

Although we try to provide something for a player to do regardless of the hour, we freely admit that the strength of Sojourney is its DM-run campaigns. Our DMs have many years of experience and know how to create an on-going challenge that can be fun, challenging and fulfilling.

If you are looking for a place where you can become epic level in a week’s time, Sojourney is not that place. If you are looking for a place where your character can grow through friendship, challenge and roleplay, then we believe that Sojourney IS that place.
